Peru is one of the original four World Links pilot countries in Latin America. The Program is being developed within the context of the Ministry of Education's general strategy on educational technology and, in particular, within the context of the EDURED Project. For the initial phase of the project, 10 schools were selected, located in diverse regions of the country -- Lima, Arequipa, Chincha, Trujillo, Maynas, San Martin and Tacna.
