Quantitative and qualitative impact assessment is regularly conducted and indicates significant positive impact on students’ knowledge, technological and community skills, and employability. The program is particularly beneficial for girls, who demonstrate improved academic results, school attendance and communication skills, as well as increased confidence and self-esteem. In order to ensure third party objectivity, World Links program evaluation is conducted by reputable outside firms.
World Links focuses heavily on community-based sustainability—an estimated 98 percent of all World Links schools and community telecentres connected during the past five years remain up and running. This high success rate is attributable to the organization's demand-driven approach involving ministries of education, local and international private sector leaders, schools, parents, and partner NGOs at every stage.
