Zoran Kunovski Spanec, Elpida Karamandi School, Bitola

Zoran Kunovski - Spanec is an informatics teacher in the PS "Elpida Karamandi" in Bitola. He is teaching informatics and believes that he could give his contribution with this training. He also believes that after the training program teachers in his school will improve their computer skills

Zoran is one of the 120 primary school teachers that were chosen to train 5200 teachers from primary schools.

Training program started in November, 2005 when 180 secondary school teachers were trained. These teachers disseminated the training to 2500 high school teachers during the last school year.

From the March, 2006 training program have continued for the primary school teachers.

"It's not the same with this project. It's more than working on a computer. Project based learning means effective learning where student are in the center of the meaning, researching and solving problems by themselves, and the teacher is only facilitator in the process. You can do it only with the computers."

Together with his colleague Violeta Angelevska, the other trainer from the same school, they started dissemination. Trainees were satisfied too. After the finishing of every training session, trainees put their comments on the forum that was created for the purpose of the training program. Here trainees from all the schools included into the project are doing evaluation of the dissemination.

And when Zoran and Violeta were reading the comments from their trainees, they also checked the comments from the other groups. Zoran was really surprised when he saw two names of the teachers that were his friends during the studies.

"A lot of times I was asking myself about my colleagues from university days. I haven't seen them since the days of study. I tried to contact them a lot of times but I didn't know what are they working. I was really surprised when I realized that they are working in primary schools as informatics teachers, the same like me. Finally, we are working on the same project!!! And it helped us to initiate a contact."

His friends were also surprised when they saw comments at the forum from their friend Zoran. They asked themselves the same question. After the first contact they changed an e-mail addresses and telephone numbers and decide to organize a meeting.

Together, they will realize a project that will include a teachers and student from the schools where they are working. For the realization of the project they will use computers from their labs and Internet connection provided from the e-schools.
