Development Gateway Award 2006
World Links' School-Based Telecenters in the Dominican Republic has been selected as one of the top 30 projects for the Development Gateway Award 2006.
This year’s theme, ICT for the Empowerment of Youth, inspired over 160 applications from around the world. Of those applications, a screening committee narrowed them down to the top 30 projects, which were then passed on the members of an international panel of jurors. All of the top 30 projects will be featured in an online special report on youth to be published in December. World Links Schoolbased Telecenters in the Dominican Republic is one of the projects in the short list.
